Guide to ordering prototype - Conversion of STL file
The process from CAD to rapid prototyping is dependent on software and an understanding of the manufacturing method. Therefore we give here a guide on how to produce CAD parties that lead to good topics.
CAD file to be sent as. Stl
The basic rule is that all files be converted / saved as a. Stl file. (Stl stands for stereolithography)
Most types of CAD software can save in this format by selecting "files -> save as ->. Stl".
When you save the file, make sure that it is in such high resolution as possible, as the quality can vary greatly if the solution becomes too low.
Prototype model is not nicer than what you see in your CAD software.
Below are a series of guides to the most relevant CAD software. Is your not on the list, of course, we still like to help you - please contact our RPT administration who are ready to guide you through the process
Once you have the file in the correct format, you send the file to RPT@davinci.dk.
