CASE: Aluwind
DaVinci was contacted by Aluwind who needed a modeller to produce 2 scale models , they could use for customer presentations, exhibitions and fairs, etc.
The task was to 2 models of Aluwinds lightweight constructions in aluminum in size 1:15.
An important part was that all CAD data was drawn in 1:1 and should be scaled down to 1:15, which required that minimumtykkelser was observed, this was DaVincis design team. DaVinci selected from 3D CAD data which parts will be 3D printed and which parts were manufactured by DaVincis modeller.
The tower was such. made of rolled steel, while the platform and stairs inside the tower was 3D printed on DaVincis SLS machine. All SLS subjects were subsequently painted house in DaVincis paint booth.
The platform has some really great reflective surfaces of these sourced DaVinci same reflective tape used in reality. Taken was fitted with real floor plate in the 1:15.
The platform was made in two parts which can be easily assembled and disassembled. And as scale models to be transported, they were finally packed in a suitcase storm.
