science-fair-2016DAVINCI development took part in the FIRST LEGO League event in Billund this week

FIRST LEGO League is an interdisciplinary technology project for children and teenagers, in the ages 10 to 16. Last year, 29.000 teams from 80 different countries participated in the FLL event. This week, more than 300 children took part in the event, and they got a lot of attention from teachers, parents and partners.

The purpose of the event is to give children and teenagers a positive experience with technology and project work. In addition, the event contributes to their personal and professional development through collaboration and learning, in a practical environment that is directed towards the real world.

As a part of the event, the Capital of Children had organized a “Science Fair”, where local organizations and educational institutions could engage in dialogue with the children.

For DAVINCI development, it was an opportunity to inspire, encourage and catch the children’s interest in our work. The children who participated might be our future students, colleagues or partners, and we had a unique opportunity to show them the exciting things we do at DAVINCI development.

“It was a pleasure to experience the children’s interest in technology, and what we do at DAVINCI development. They were very knowledgeable about especially 3D-printing. There was a lot of activity, and I received a bunch of relevant technical and personal questions. I also got many funny comments from the children. It was a great success” said Søren Andersen, DAVINCI development, in relation to the FLL event.
