TV2 Østjylland visiting DAVINCI

Tissue and spare parts produced on 3D printer.

Scientists from Aarhus University and doctors from Aarhus University Hospital have in cooperation with among others DAVINCI development developed a ground-breaking technology. The technology makes it possible to produce tissue and implant by means of 3D print.

TV2 Østjylland visited DAVINCI and has made this exciting feature about the project

The implant is produced by means of nanotechnology, where the 3D printer prints a microscopic thin lay of plastic upon each other. Afterwards this is implanted into the patient.

The material can among other things be used for knee operations, where it can replace the damaged cartilage. The special thing about the material is, that it is destroyed by it self and disappears. A ground-breaking technology with never-ending opportunities.
